Milissa Kazuko Douponce is Vice President of Marketing for Sony Pictures Releasing International. She is responsible for the development, alignment and implementation of international theatrical marketing initiatives for Screen Gems, TriStar Pictures, Sony Pictures Classics and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions. Douponce spearheaded the successful international launches for Insidious 3, the Academy Award-winners Spotlight and Son of Saul and most recently Don’t Breathe, which has earned $150 million globally. She is presently working on campaigns for Manchester By The Sea, The Edge of Seventeen, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, Underworld: Blood Wars and Arrival.
Prior to her current position, Douponce was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Photography for Sony Pictures Entertainment, where she handled the Columbia Pictures as well and worked on Bond films Quantum of Solace and Skyfall, The Social Network, Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty, District 9, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Captain Phillips and the Spider Man franchise. At NBC Universal Television, Douponce oversaw photo asset management for such hit programming as “The Tonight Show”, “Saturday Night Live,” “Law & Order, SVU”, 2006 Olympics, “Will & Grace,” and “Friday Night Lights.”
Milissa began her career in consumer advertising as art director and creative director at Grey Global and McCann Erickson and has created campaigns for Procter & Gamble, Kellogg’s, Hasbro, Kraft/ General Foods and Novartis. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Design from California State University, Sacramento, a Masters of Communication from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
